The future of Simantic
Simon 3rd July 2009

One day I’m going to get around to redesigning this site and more importantly, this blog. So to get started, I need you, dear reader, to point me in the direction in which you’d like the blog to head. Here’s a quick poll with some proposed features (some suggested by you guys already). Please let me know which of these features you’d like to see (you can select up to 5) and feel free to make comments on this post for anything else you’d like me to include. Thanks.

I reckon a change is as good as a holiday so to speak. A new design is enough for me
. I like simantic and it’s simplicity. Mobile friendly would be good in this age of iPhones and Blackberries! Feature article might be nice too, although I don’t know what your idea is behind this.

Unless you’re Karl Pilkington and neither a holiday nor change is anything more than an effort
Look, realistically a redesign probably won’t happen until around November, it’d just be good to plan now while I’ve got some time off uni. A mobile version of the site would simply be a smaller version of the site with more accessible links and a feature article basically means that when you visit the site, you will see the latest article (all styled nicely) alongside which there’ll be excerpts of other recent articles and a link to view all articles. Sounds complex, but will hopefully be quite simple. I haven’t worked it all out yet myself
Thanks for the feedback so far.

Blackberry? Tristan, you heathen.
I love the idea of a feature article, especially with lots of graphic content (a real strength of simantic, in my humble opinion).
